Bi-Okoto Drum & Dance Theatre presents an African and Indian Cultural dance and music festival featuring performances by
national guest artists and companies: 
 
KanKouran West African Dance Company (Senegal)
from Washington D.C.,
 
Nrityarpana School of Performing Arts - (Traditional Classical Indian Dance)
Yakshahejje (Traditional Indian Folk Art) from Indianapolis, Indiana
and
Satarangi (Bollywood Indian Dance).
 
What's Old is Contemporary showcases the similarities of African and Indian cultural dance, music and folk stories that have evolved over the years from OLD traditional dances to CONTEMPORARY pop dances which invigorate and influence other styles of dance around the world.
 
 
Location: The School for Creative and Performing Arts—Mayerson Theatre

Performance tickets: $18 Groups of 10 or more
$20 tickets in advance 
$25 at door 
 
Workshop tickets: Children (12 and under): $10 Adults (13 and up): $20 
 
Workshops:
10-11am Children's African Dance w/KanKouran
11am-12pm—African Drumming w/KanKouran
12-1pm Indian Bollywood Dance w/Satrangi
1:00-2:30pm—Adult African Dance w/KanKouran
Cultural Marketplace opens at 6:30pm
Performance in Mayerson Theatre 8:00pm
