NATIONAL ARTS IN EDUCATION WEEK SPOTLIGHT!

Bi-Okoto creates performances and educational experiences to help audiences of all ages and backgrounds engage and bridge cultural gaps. They use authentic African culture-based theatre, music, drums, dances, cooking, languages, and clothing to accomplish that. Their B-FIT classes are offered at the center on a weekly basis.

Kids can participate in cultural and character-building activities at the center. Classes include West African Drumming (for kids, and mixed-levels); Dance (for kids, and adult mixed-levels); Drumming (for kids, and adult mixed levels); AfroPop Dance (ages 13 to adults); languages (Yoruba, Kiswahili, etc.); Cooking (ages 13 to adults.
